John M. Iversen

John M. "Jack" Iversen was born May 2, 1934, in Richfield, Minnesota, to John C.W. and Charlotte (Cummings) Iversen. He attended Roosevelt High School and served in the US Navy and the US Marines from June 1951 to May 1957. Following his discharge he returned to Minneapolis and studied electronics at Dunwoody Institute. He married Carol Peck on March 5, 1958, in Wisconsin. After marriage they lived in the South Minneapolis/Bloomington area and Jack worked as a journeyman and later as a master electrician. In 1975, they moved to their home in Webster and Jack worked as an electrician for various Twin Cities companies until retiring in 1999. He was a member of Local #292.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; his mother-in-law, Virginia Peck of Northfield; his brother-in-law, Bill (Marilyn) Peck of Arkansas; his cousins: Richard (Doris) Cummings of Bloomington, Marcella Soderberg of Eagan; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jack passed away Thursday evening, December 10, 2009, at the Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center, at the age of 75.
