Carol Ann Boich entered her new home in heaven on February 21, 2010 at the age of 78. She was born September 8, 1931, in Peoria, Illinois, to Ernest and Vera (Binkele) Klaus.

Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at Northfield Care Center where Carol had been a resident for the past year. Her Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Caston, her son-in-law, officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date at Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Carol fought a brave 2 1/2 year battle with a rare disease that eventually claimed her physical body but not her spirit nor her hope. She faced her imminent death in the same way she lived her life, with grace and a quiet spirit, knowing that her hope in life and in death lay with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She will be remembered by her children as a wonderful stay-at-home mother who gave herself wholeheartedly, by listening intently, and praying consistently for them.

Carol was born in Peoria, Illinois to Ernie and Vera Klaus, and lived there until her marriage. Arnold Lee Boich and Carol Ann Klaus were married on November 9, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois. The couple moved to Nepomuceno, Brazil where they served as missionaries. While there they started an orphanage for abandoned children. After their time in Brazil, Carol and Arnold and six children lived in Texas, Ohio, Iowa and Minnesota where they continued to minister in local churches. Carol and Arnold moved to Northfield, Minnesota in 2002.

Carol is survived by her husband, Arnold, and their six children, Christine and Mark Caston of Bonapart, Iowa; Bonnie and Aaron Moeckly of Rochester; Arnie and Jodi Boich of Hutchinson; John and Jolie Boich of Cottage Grove; Susan and Paul Westlund of Shoreview; and Dan and Jen Boich of Maple Grove; 27 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Carol also leaves behind her brothers Ron (Diane) Klaus of Bemidji, Mn; Tim (Carole) Klaus of Tremont, IL; Steve Klaus of Edwards, IL and Shirley Klaus of Edwards, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are suggested to go to Northfield Care Center, where Carol was well taken care of and loved by the staff.

Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home in Northfield.

Rest In Peace Carol

Prayers and hugs to the family of Carol. I had the privilege of knowing her as they Pastored in Iowa. She was always kind and you could see the love of the Lord in her life. Heaven gained a wonderful lady. God bless

From Peoria

We just read Carol's obt. and think that we are relatives.  If Arnold is the son of Helen Boich of Peoria, we are related.

Thanks,

Ken Webster (granson of Eli Stumetz)

Arnold was the son of Helen Boich

Yes... you must be related to my Dad, Arnold Boich.

My thoughts are with all of you.  I always remember Carol's sweet, gentle way and think of her quiet little laugh.  I am so thankful for the time they served in Burlington.  Judy Payne
